As part of the annual Program of Work, each SkillsUSA section (club) is encouraged to attend the Skills Conference in their region. Regional Board Members work to secure school locations, corporate support and recruit teachers to serve as Contest Chair(s) for each contest.

The Regional Skills Conferences are NOT a qualifier for the Arizona SkillsUSA Championships. However, it is evident that students who compete at the Regional Skills Conference often learn about their own strengths and weaknesses in their trade area.
 

Tips for Contest Preparation
►	All contests are based on the SkillsUSA Championships Technical Standards for the 2009-2010 school year. Purchase a copy here.
►	Run a local contest for your students and challenge them through a realistic competition.

ALL REGIONAL CONTESTANTS WILL BE EXPECTED TO TAKE THE SkillsUSA Knowledge Test. The 50 question study guide is available in Word and PDF. Only 25 questions will be used on the test.
